Some thoughts about the configurations forming now....

As copied from a BT project update: 13 Nov 1998

To give you a limited sense of how this works, the next two weeks (the last 2 weeks of November 1998) Psyche will be configured with both the asteroid Hidalgo and a factor named Hades. Among the things that would mean—IF it was big in a particular person’s chart (and it won’t be for some, just as it will be for others)-- is that: there will be an effort to not say negative things about mental-emotional states, to talk only selectively about past hurts, or to be careful with what is said because one is depressed or not feeling neurologically up to par. This grouping can also manifest as an intuitive connection with what we might call “ancient things or times”—and this ranges from a kind of psychic openess to “evil” to a sublimal receptivity to things of long, long ago; interest in the history of places like Mexico, Latin America, or the Southwest; awareness of drugs, (medicinal and otherwise) from “south of the border,” appraisal of “the psyche” in countries like Israel and Iraq that are more ideologically or religion-based than America; and there can be the “sense” that people are keeping bad news or thoughts to themselves—they just aren’t saying all that’s true (and this is based in issues about the brain or because of emotional vulnerability and damage.) As I say, this scenario (in its varying ways) will be important and obvious for some people and not for others. Optimism can have to battle depression; people can find humor in the darkest of topics; there may be news about research dealing with things neurological and psychological. Because both Bacchus (drugs) and Askalaphus (health, doctors, healing) are also joining Psyche, Hades and Hidalgo, there may be more discussion of different drug therapies. For people not dealing with BTs, this can be a time to realize the emotional basis for addictions and how they don’t talk about “that elephant in the living room!” I would expect “cautious optimism” and some—at least short term—difficulties (perhaps with side effects, nausea, depression.) Because you have the Hidalgo (where some things AREN’T said) and the Askalaphus (doctors,) if pplicable, you might want to make sure you feel you have “the whole story.” But there is also the thing here of Hidalgo-Hades.... when things aren’t said because they install negativity, that’s often a very good thing! With the Bacchus-Hades, there can be denial of “the history” (and the accrued significance of the past;) folks can become completely preoccupied with...the worst case scenario, with picayune investigation, with (Mercury-Hades) what amounts to little more than gossip (even if—Jupiter—they joke about it.)

With Jupiter, we have to recognize that foreign affairs and philosophical differences will figure in events—as will the attempt to reframe all piles of manure as “compost.” In the grouping is also the idea that some of an addiction is to Negativity — to keeping oneself “down”...and then it might be important to (Hidalgo - Psyche) only let some of the negative self-talk into the mind and to (Jupiter) lift the thoughts to brighter topics, promise of improvement, and less (Jupiter-Hades) “globalizing negativity.” In other words, don’t magnify the maggots! It’s not productive to see a specific instance and build a whole case on it now. For some, there will be interest in psychoactive medications for depression; others will find a refrain similar to: Why didn’t you really tell me about that “ugliness,” problem or part of your history? The beat goes on.

When you have such a complex configuration, there is a lot more to say about it, but I thought some of these ideas might prove useful.
