Martha Lang-Wescott's newest publication, Architects of Time is the quintessential astrological journey in the universally recognized "time machine." Between the sleek black bindings, we are drawn irresistibly toward time travel at warp speed 10, into the past, present and future. Of the many Dial techniques presented, each example is laden with ample detail and clarity, many times over making a strong case for the event in question. The selected samples demonstrate each of the myriad systems available for fine tuning in "seeing" an event as it happened, will happen or is at that moment in progress. Included are the more familiar techniques of Lunar and Solar Returns, and Solar Arc Directions. The author peers even further through time with the Daily Angles, Midpoints, Harmonics and the ever specific Time Dials which bring you to the actual hour of the event.
As always in her work, numerous asteroids and the TransNeptunians, including natal, progressed and transiting are carefully considered and combined in her delineations. In addition, sixteen asteroids previously unmentioned in her works with acomplying ephemeris are added to the glossary at book's end. This is a rare reference treasure trove, finding such compact and significant meanings gathered together in one easily accessible place. This is a text that will most benefit those who have conquered her previous efforts, Mechanics of the Future and The Orders of Light. Architects of Time heroically attempts to replace the anxiety associated with the Dial and all connected techniques. This is no mean feat, but through her assiduous insistence on detail and precision, Ms.Wescott accomplishes the goal with indelible clarity and pithy insight. However, do not equate this process with a green light for speed or ease. This rigorous route will require industrious and enterprising effort. The seriously committed will find the gold vein in this mine. The solemn tenor with which she escorts us on this revelatory time tour is liberally punctuated with tongue in cheek humor. By removing the fear factor, Martha Lang-Wescott has put within reach invaluable tools to empower any serious and dedicated practitioner. This tome is the signature of a conscientious, consummate teacher, who in the security of her vast knowledge sews the seeds of Astrology's future in many generations to come. Our Lady of the Asteroids has indeed effected a miracle for those stuck in time. Reviewed by Bran-Dee Wheeler The Mountain Astrologer Dec 1997
