Sign Interceptions - Some thoughts

1. One of the things I see for people with interceptions is that their early lives have held "such a problem" that they (as children) were basically second to that.  It's as though the parents were saying (although often not in words:) "Can't you see what a problem we're having?"  In effect, the child is told to "Stifle it" and not add to the crush of difficulties.

2.  As a result, the usual testing and sequential experience of intercepted energies doesn't occur; a person feels uncomfortable about them.  (Ie., with Mercury, they weren't heard, couldn't trust words, etc.)

3.  Also as a result, an adult with interceptions often makes too much room in his or her life for "the problems of others."  They can put themselves and their own needs and wholeness on a back burner because, just as their early life situation showed, "others are in crisis--or have an ongoing problem."  It's as though the person with interceptions has a major Hebe and Neptune!  This is not to say that this can't be wonderful; a person can "sacrifice" themselves or feel a strong sense of mission... it's just that maybe there needs to be a good bit of soul searching regarding it.

4.  I often say that intercepted houses feel as though there's "a room within a room."  A person can walk around in the house a bit-- but it can feel as though they're in an outer chamber-- and they just can't quite "get to" what's truly there.  A person can feel as though there's some "secret" to those areas of life.

5.  Intercepted planets have to work overtime to feel appropriate, and as though it's "okay" to manifest.  In a sense, a person can feel as though "they" are much older and more experienced that these parts of themselves.

6. I observe that the rulers of the intercepted houses behave as though they're in hard aspect, even if they aren't!

7. The matters and rulers of the double-ruled houses help to spell out what the problem was (that had the family rubber-necked in that direction—and made the child's development less of a priority.)  Let's say you have Leo on two house cusps (and therefore, Aquarius on two.)  You have then Sun-Uranus "issues" that kept the childhood situation in an uproar.  Maybe father was erratic, abrupt, or volatile... etc.

8. Sometimes exploring the last factor (planet, TNP or asteroid) before the start of an interception signals a kind of "last straw" event.  After "that" (the factor and its aspects,) the child "shut down" and, in effect, closed him or herself "in their room."  Implied here is the idea that they were gonna' stay there "until it was safe to come out."

9. When intercepted houses come to angles in returns is kinda' a neat time to try to get to more of  what was shut up inside them, and to see the impact of that razzle-dazzle in their childhood that caused such an ongoing uproar. -----
