The Sun’s Ingress into Capricorn 2012
The chart of the Ingress
of the Sun into the sign, Capricorn, is considered “The World’s Horoscope” for
the coming year. While this occurs
every year in late December, examples of the chart can be seen in the Fall
leading up to the Ingress. And while
you can use the Ingress in personal charts, here you see the Ingress as it will
impact the United States. (Inner rim:
solar arc directions to Dec 21st of the 12 Sag Rising US chart; middle
rim: that chart, radix; around the outside, factors of the Ingress 2012.) The method asks for delineation of “contact” (and
that includes aspectual contact and placements in a factor’s axis) and consideration
of how the midpoints of the Ingress will affect the US chart, radix and directed.
I will offer a few suggestions (below the
chart,) but you can work more completely with the chart as desired.
Let’s look at some of the “contacts” we see:
v The transit and retrograde
Hades has been square the US’ MC; is applying to its Venus; and works to
articulate the MC/Venus midpoint. We
then expect a downturn in the economy, a diminished (MC) “standing” for the
country in the world, and issues about the standards and class status in
America. We might interpret parts of
this picture as “the impact of the (Hades) poor or disenfranchised on the
(Venus) financial resources of the country.”
v The transiting
Neptune/Apollon is in 00 Cp, so it is extending it’s influence to what we’ve
just said. That midpoint can be
interpreted as “spreading mistrust, wide-spread disappointment or deception, or
uncertain business trends.” You might
also delineate it as “faked success” or “the illusion of success.” The brilliant work of Alfred Witte and
others (as evidenced in the book, “Rules for Planetary Pictures”) spoke of this
manifestation of this combination of energies as, among other things: “Corruption;
gas; and masses of water.” Think about
hurricane Sandy and the current concern about whether Syria will use chemical
weapons/gas! Then blend the idea of “corruption”
to the US’ MC and Venus. This lends the
interpretation that there is “sleight of hand” affecting the country’s finances. You might also use the Neptune/Apollon as “spread
too thin”—and then blend the Venus in to indicate the financial prospects.
v The theme of “corruption”
is kind of repeated by seeing the directed Mars/Neptune passing the axis of the
radix MC. If you think of Mars as “taking
action,” pass it into or onto Neptune—and there’s pretense, lack of resolve,
uncertainty and a kind of “dream world.”
How is that affecting the (MC) reputation of our country? Maybe you see the directed Mars in Aquarius
as “I want to change the world.” What
happens when Neptune in Taurus has the final word on that? How does “unreal finances or security”
affect that Mars?
v In 00 Cp 09 is the
Pluto/Cupido midpoint. While this can
refer to “taxes on families and real estate” and to upheaval in families, if we
see the Cupido as “harmony” or “the government family,” we get the sense that
there are (Pluto) power struggles, big money, revenge themes and mixed
motives. (Now add that to the
corruption theme of the Neptune/Apollon.)
v The Sun/Hades midpoint is
in 00 Libra 52—neatly applying to the US’ Midheaven. In one guise, this is “a man with secrets;” in another, it’s “a
man of the common people;” in yet
another, it’s a reference to “a man’s past.”
If we think of the Sun as “growth,” the Hades “stunts or negates” it.
v To give an example of the
kind of mixed pictures (astrologically) you can use, see the configuration
formed by Ingress Mars to directed Apollon applying to radix Pluto. This offers the idea that there is a kind of
challenge to (Apollon) business because of (Pluto) taxes or other financial
issues.
v Maybe you would interpret
the radix Hades/Node = directed Uranus as being about the fact that, given the
number of gadgets and all the technology, people no longer connect they way
they used to.
v What do you make of the
nearly exact contact of directed Pluto to radix Neptune? This aspect has been happening for the last
year or two. Do you think there are
(Pluto) major changes that (Neptune) won’t even be obvious until sometime in
the future? Do you think there have
been (Pluto) struggles for power or control that (Neptune) have been masked as
some kind of empathy? If you think of
Neptune as “idealism” or “big dreams,” wouldn’t Pluto’s reach for power have
had an easy time of capitalizing on the weaknesses of Neptune?
v Please note that transiting
Neptune is in the axis of this Neptune-Pluto—as is the directed ASCENDANT. So this is a HUGE ISSUE FOR THE UNITED
STATES now (as it has been for the last few years.) Get a handle on the various ways you’d interpret the
Pluto-Neptune because it’s very significant now.
v Note that transiting
Neptune is to radix Apollon—so there is the repeated suggestion of “corruption”
and widespread deception or weakness; there may be (Pluto) taxes that encourage
(Apollon) businesses to (Neptune) resort to deception. Transiting Neptune is also messing with
directed Jupiter and Zeus. When you see
transiting Neptune to Jupiter, you want to think about “broken promises,
building castles on the sand, and shaky speculations.”
v When you include the
directed ASC and Pluto and Zeus with radix Apollon and transiting Neptune, you
have concerns about (Zeus) military action linked to (Neptune-Apollon) the use
of gas or (Pluto-Neptune) something overpowering a weak populace. You also have (Neptune-Zeus) hidden weapons
or hidden military action and concern about (Pluto-Zeus) major weapons.
v The Ingress Neptune/Admetus
= radix US Sun with the directed Venus applying (moving into the
midpoint.) How do you delineate the
Neptune/Admetus? Do you see it as “Pretending
to hold steady”? As “Persevering
through a time of fragility or illusion”?
Neptune/Admetus is, essentially, a strong change from one state to
another. It’s like Water changing to
Earth or Rock. Take that image to the
Sun and Venus (finances) of America.
v The Ingress Neptune/Node is
in 13 Capricorn 13, so it is also applying to the US Sun\Venus. Neptune/Node is such things as secret
meetings or alliances; it is “nefarious connections” and contact with sick
people. With the aspect to directed
Venus, it may also be referring to the money involved with Obamacare.
v And what do you make of
transiting Pluto radix Admetus, Rx (and, when Pluto moves back from 08*, it
will again repeat the serious matter of having radix Hades in its axis)? Picture transiting Pluto with a big stick;
it’s whacking on Admetus trying to force change… and trying to change something
AT ITS FOUNDATION! Witte speaks of
Pluto-Admetus as “radical transformation.”
Will it succeed and what will happen as transiting Uranus moves into
this picture?
v Transiting Pluto has been
designing events in its conversation with the US Hades. This is “deteriorating finances;” it is “power
to the common or disenfranchised man;” it is “bad motives” and “negative
financing.” If you think of Pluto as “a
major change,” the inclusion of Hades as an adjective suggests that the change
hasn’t been for the better.
v So okay, there are some
ideas to get you started and to explain the method. Below you will find the US chart WITH ASTEROIDS, so you can blend
in those ideas. (Ie., with Bacchus in
the concept of the MC now hit by Hades, you might say something like, “There is
major denial about the problems for the country.”) When you see the US’ Zeus-Siwa in 09-10 Cardinal and you know
Pluto and Uranus are gonna’ scrub that area of the chart, you have to think
that the (Zeus-A) volatility and military trend in (Siwa) The Middle East or
Asia is not going away.
TIMING
METHODS: Some astrologers advance the
Ingress to follow the transiting Sun.
Others move factors and midpoints about 05 minutes per month. (As always, that means to pay lots of
attention to applying aspects.)

The US Chart
Shown below: the 12 Sag Rising Sibly chart for the United
States with a selection of radix midpoints given around the inner rim of the 90
degree dial. Note that the recent 29
Sag eclipse is to the chart’s Uranus/Kronos (change or upsets in government)
and to the Neptune/Zeus (false presentation of plans or accomplishments) and to
a number of other midpoints in the US chart.
The 13 Capricorn eclipse was to the US Sun, so important changes are
afoot. Compare the above Ingress
midpoints to US Siwa in 10 Cardinal and US Siva in 18 Cardinal and both of
those asteroids stand for Asia and The Middle East.
